THE RACE

Race Across Apulia is a race that with its 288 km is the longest European non-stop ultramarathon and crosses one of the most beautiful region of Italy, showing its natural and artistic beauties forged in a thousand year old history.

Thought to offer to the athletes coming from around the world the opportunity to measure themselves with their own capacities in a scenario, the Apulia region, made of an unique landscape, rich in history and traditions.

Being one of the longest single stage ultramarathon in the world, its aim is to unveil the region through the athlete’s eyes, who, during his effort, discovers little by little its hidden treasures.

The proximity to Matera, Unesco Human Heritage site, has produced a little detour to the nearby Basilicata which increases furthemore the sporting nature of the event, but above all its cultural and turistic value.
